The Austrian Army 1630-1840 by Allemande 40 prints
Allemande is one of those rather obscure sets that was refered to by the later
artists like Knötel and Ottenfeld. The art it perhaps a little dated by
modern standards but the research was impeccable. The artist being more of
a stickler for detail than a professional artist. This is frequently where
our best information comes from. For the student of the Austrian military forces
during this time period this is a place to start and a source that should not
be missed or overlooked.
